National Instruments SWB-2814 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

The National Instruments SWB-2814 (Part Numbers: 781420-14 and 781421-14) is a Matrix Module for NI SwitchBlock. This module is designed to work in the 2-wire, 8 x 9 configuration. The NI SWB-2814 is not an independent switching device. This module works with a PXI Carrier Module. The PXI carrier module hosts the NI SWB-2814 and other similar SwitchBlock modules to provide you with an unmatched switching experience. Thus, the PXI Carrier Module works just like a sub-chassis. This Matrix Module requires only one out of six slots of the carrier module. Ultimately, you can use a single carrier module to achieve many different configurations by adding five different types of matrix modules.

The National Instruments SWB-2814 Matrix Module allows field replacement of the relays. Besides this feature, it also has powerful relay health monitoring features. With this module, you will be able to track the relays available on the card through NI Switch Health Center software. Moreover, you can perform various relay function tests through this software. A variation of the SWB-2814 with access to the analog bus is also available. 

This Matrix Module is widely used in SwitchBlock applications– a solution designed for automated measurement and testing. The NI SWB-2814 comes with an integrated relay monitoring chip that keeps track of the installed relays and provides vital information about the module. You can easily deploy this module by plugging it into an unoccupied slot of the PXI Carrier Module. The SWB-2814 can operate with up to 10 MHz maximum bandwidth.
