National Instruments SWB-2834 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

The SWB-2834 is an electromechanical relay Matrix Module for SwitchBlock systems. The manufacture of the NI SWB-2834 module is National Instruments. The SWB-2834 is available with two different NI part numbers: 781420-34 and 781421-34. The NI SWB-2834 module has latching electromechanical relays with an expected life of 1x10⁸ cycles at no load. The SWB-2834 contains 2 slots for SwitchBlock systems. 

The National Instruments SWB-2834 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock gives multiple technical benefits in a variety of applications requiring high power. Larger bandwidth compatibility, easy wiring structure, flexibility in the interconnection routing, reduced external intervention, and provision of expansion in the module’s matrix size are a few perks of using the SWB-2834 module. Typically, the NI SWB-2834 Matrix Module is designed in an 8x34 size configuration, but it can be expanded up to 8x102 in a single carrier and 8x408 in a PXI chassis configuration. The SWB-2834 module can also be combined with other NI-2834 modules to formulate a customized device. The NI SWB-2834 Matrix Module can be used effectively in conjunction with a unit under test (UUT) to fetch signals from instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. The SWB-2833 has the capability of supporting 10 MHz bandwidth.

The NI SWB-2834 Matrix Module can support up to 2 A switching current and carry current. This maximum current can be applied to 8 channels simultaneously. The maximum value of switching voltage that can be connected is 100 V between row and column. The SWB-2834 module has a switching power of 60 W for each channel and cross point individually.
