Astronics Test Systems/National Instruments PXIe-2461 PXI Counter/Timer Module

The Astronics PXIe-2461 (Part Number: 784197-01) is a 2-Channel PXI Counter/Timer Module. This high-performance module provides straightforward, automatic measurement functions, including (but not limited to) ratio, rise/fall time, pulse, phase, peak, and time interval measurements. The PXIe-2461 features 9-digits/second resolution, nine arming mode, and programmable measurement timeout. This module allows you to measure amplitude characteristics and time in two different voltage ranges: ±42 V or ±5.1 V. 

This universal Counter/Timer Module supports high and low hysteresis settings for better noise performance. You can modify the default hysteresis setting according to your system’s requirement by using a simple hysteresis calibration tool. Unlike ordinary counter modules, the sensitivity of the Astronics PXIe-2461 can be adjusted, which is an important feature for applications where a lot of noisy signals persist. 

This module is offered with a comprehensive software control panel with histogram and strip chart views. The control panel enables you to select various signal conditioning parameters and the required measuring mode from the home screen easily. The availability of a strip chart view provides real-time monitoring of the stability of the measurements over time. Besides this, the history of the past measurements plotted against user-defined test limits can be accessed through the histogram view. 

The Astronics PXIe-2461 Counter/Timer Module comes with a dedicated low pass filter for each channel. These 50 kHz low pass filters are provided for applications involving measuring low frequencies. This module comes with automatic pulse characterization, as well as automatic and manual triggering capabilities. The onboard storage for this module is 64K readings.
