National Instruments PPC-2015 Industrial Panel PC

The National Instruments PPC-2015 (Part Numbers: 779562-01 and 779569-01) Industrial Panel PC is made specifically for environments with space constraints and suitable for areas which cannot be expanded. The PPC-2015 Industrial Panel PC has a solid outer structure that permits it to function in a tough environment. An up to date 8 wire resistive technology is used by the touch screen of the PCC-2015; this technology helps with sensing and is suitable for harsh environments.

The NI PPC-2015 has a parallel port, two COM Ports (serial communication ports), two PS/2 ports for a keyboard and mouse, a VGA port, four universal serial bus (USB) ports, three audio ports (for microphone, inline, outline), and an Ethernet port. The NI PPC-2015 has compatibility with the up to date ECP & EPP protocols for parallel ports. This helps enhance the functionality of the PPC-2015 while working with printers or other hardware devices.

The OS (operating system) is installed by the manufacturer in the PPC-2015. For normal use of the PPC-2015, configuration is also done by the manufacturer. There is no need of any further setup. To begin working on the Industrial Panel PC, plug it in with a power source. There are two ON/OFF options available with NI PPC-2015.  

The maintenance of the CD-ROM, CPU, SDRAM, and HDD are easy through a locked door above the motherboard. The user can fix the jumper wires without removing the screw. It is recommended to not leave the National Instruments PPC-2015 Industrial Panel PC in an environment where the temperature goes under -20 °C or above 60 °C. The temperature extremes can damage the PC.

PPC-2015 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Industrial Panel PC will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
