National Instruments TPC-2012 Industrial Touch Panel Computer

The TPC-2012 is an industrial Touch Panel Computer. The manufacturer of the TPC-2012 is National Instruments. The NI TPC-2012 comes with part number 779861-01. The TPC-2012 computer comes with pre-installed Windows CE. The TPC-2012 is equipped with a CompactFlash storage card for the installation of Windows CE. An important feature of the NI TPC-2012 is the touch panel module that comes with it.

This Touch Panel Computer has a 12.1 in. LCD touch screen. The touch screen of the TPC-2012 is an SVGA LCD. The maximum resolution of the SVGA touch screen is 800 x 600. The processor used in the NI TPC-2012 is AMD GX3. The CPU frequency is 500 MHz. For powerful tasks, the TPC-2012 is equipped with a DDR SDRAM with 256 MB memory. The processor and RAM of the TPC-2012 are powerful enough for HMI graphics. This Touch Panel Computer also supports TCP/IP communication with a 10/100 Ethernet Port. Different types of application software can be used for TCP/IP communication, such as TCP/IP VIs and NI LabVIEW shared variables. For Modbus TCP/IP communication, Modbus LabVIEW library is used. 

The NI TPC-2012 incorporates several ports for different functions. These ports include USB ports, serial ports, and PS/2 ports. The operating system of the TPC-2012 is Windows CE.NET. This Touch Panel Computer is pre-configured with different utilities for remote access installed. Some of these utilities are FTP configuration, IP address configurator, and a remote display.

TPC-2012 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Touch Panel Computer will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
