National Instruments TPC-2215 Touch Panel Computer       

The TPC-2215 is an industrial Touch Panel Computer. The NI TPC-2215 was designed by National Instruments. The TPC-2215 computer belongs to the UMI controlling series of National Instruments’ boards. The TPC-2215 offers an efficient HMI for communication. This Touch Panel Computer was built on x86 architecture.  The NI TPC-2215 is specifically designed for industrial applications. The TPC-2215 computer features an Intel ATOM processor. Intel ATOM is a high-speed processor, but it requires low power. Due to its low power consumption, the NI TPC-2215 does not require any cooling fans. This feature makes it useful for those applications where the temperature is high. The TPC-2215 can operate in a harsh environment without losing its efficiency.

This Touch Panel Computer is an efficient device for interfacing with different devices. The TPC-2215 is equipped with several ports for different types of communication modes. These ports include serial ports, USB ports, and Ethernet ports. Two of each type of ports are available in the NI TPC-2215. The serial ports used in the TPC-2215 are COM1 and COM2. The COM1 port of this Touch Panel Computer is an RS232 port and the COM2 port is an RS422/485 port. The COM2 port of the TPC-2215 can automatically detect and control the data flow. The NI TPC-2215 Touch Panel Computer’s USB ports support USB 1.0, USB 1.1, and USB 2.0.

The TPC-2215 runs on Microsoft Windows. The NI TPC-2215 is compatible with the latest versions of embedded Windows available. The TPC-2215 also supports Windows XPe and Windows ES7.

TPC-2215 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Touch Panel Computer will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
