National Instruments USRP-2944 USRP Software Defined Radio Device
Featured with a Kintex-7 FPGA and optimized RF performance, the NI USRP-2944 (Part Number: 783149-01) is a USRP Software Defined Radio Device. This device has an RF frequency range from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. The USRP-2944 has 2 input channels and 2 output channels. This device supports communication via MXIe and Ethernet buses. The back panel contains 2 SFP + (small form-factor pluggable) inputs which can be utilized for 10 Gigabit or 1 Gigabit connectivity with the host computer over Ethernet.
The NI USRP-2944 USRP Software Defined Radio Device comes equipped with an FPGA-controlled I/O port (Aux I/O) for general requirements. For recovery purposes, users can take advantage of the JTAG connector– a USB port that connects the device to the host computer. You can use the JTAG port with the Xilinx iMPACT configuration utility to load a new bitfile temporarily. The USRP-2944 device features a PCIe x4 port as well. This port supports an x4 bus link over an MXI-Express x 4 copper cable. You can also install a GPS antenna with this device.
The NI USRP-2944 comes with 2 input terminals (RF 0 & RF 1) for the RF signal. Each RF terminal has 2 SMA female RF connectors to operate as a single-ended input or output channel. This USRP Software Defined Radio Device requires an external 9 to 16 VDC power supply to operate. The REF IN and REF OUT are reference input and reference output terminals, capable of receiving or transmitting single-ended reference signals respectively. REF IN accepts signals generated at 10 MHz frequency and 0 dBm minimum input power.
