National Instruments VXI-1000 VXIbus Mainframe

The VXI-1000 (Part Number: 191000-01) is a VXIbus Mainframe manufactured by National Instruments. The NI VXI-1000 is a 5-slot Mainframe compatible with the VXIbus System Specification. This C-size VXIbus Mainframe meets all industry requirements in support maintenance, pressurized cooling, backplane EMI/signal performance, module development access, and high-efficiency power distribution. The VXI-1000 has six versions with different power cords: standard 120 V (Part Number: 776323-01), Switzerland 220 V (Part Number: 776323-02), Australia 240 V (Part Number: 776323-03), Universal Euro 240 V (Part Number: 776323-04), North American 240 V (Part Number: 776323-05), and UK 240 V (Part Number: 776323-06) . The National Instruments VXI-1000 Mainframe complies with multiple standards like VEDA, UL, and FCC.

The NI VXI-1000 can be configured to be utilized in rack-mounted applications, tower applications, or benchtop applications. The NI VXI-1000 contains two 96-pin VXIbus connectors (P1 and P2) for each module slot, allowing access to the VXIbus resources linked with the C-sized modules.

The NI VXI-1000 has a two-speed pressurized-directed airflow and a 40 to 50 W cooling system for each slot. This VXIbus Mainframe has a small 400 W switching power supply with an autoranging feature. The VXI-1000 is a durable, EMI-protected Mainframe. There are removable top and bottom covers for development access to the VXI modules. The NI VXI-1000 has connectors of IACK. The VXI-1000 contains Jumperless Bus Grant and IACK daisy-chain connectors. The VXI-1000 also has an option for a 3.5 inch floppy drive or hard drive.    

VXI-1000 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the mainframe will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
