National Instruments VXI-1200 FlexFrame VXIbus Mainframe      

The VXI-1200 (Part Numbers: 777432-01, 777432-02, 777432-03, 777432-04, 777432-05, 777432-06) is a portable, 5U FlexFrame VXIbus Mainframe produced by National Instruments. The NI VXI-1200 is built with 9 slots. The VXI-1200 is capable of holding a maximum of six C-size VXI modules and as many as three B-size VME or VXI modules. The VXI-1200 is VXIplug&play compatible and complies with the VXIbus Specification Revision 1.4 standards. This VXIbus Mainframe can be used with a plug-in Personality module to enable the B0 or C0 slot to work as the mainframe VXIbus Slot 0 location.

The NI VXI-1200 AC input is auto-frequency and auto-voltage ranging. This FlexFrame VXIbus Mainframe does not necessitate the configuration of a voltage selection switch. The backplane of the VXI-1200 utilizes active-automatic VME interrupt acknowledge and bus grant daisy chaining. Therefore, manually configuring the backplane switch settings and jumpers is not necessary.

The NI VXI-1200 can be used with an adjustable rackmount, which provides varying extensions for rack-mounting configurations. The VXI-1200 has a modular design, allowing the VXIbus Mainframe to be virtually wireless. This FlexFrame VXIbus Mainframe has high MTBF and low MTTR. The VXI-1200 is equipped with fans that have speed control capability. Speed control of the fans helps decrease acoustic noise. The National Instruments VXI-1200 conforms to the safety protocols of EN61010-1. The VXI-1200 is approved by EMI standards with FCC Class A Verified and EC certifications.

VXI-1200 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the mainframe will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
