National Instruments NI VXIpc-650B/166 Embedded VXI Controller

Featured with a 166Hz Pentium Microprocessor, the National Instruments VXIpc-650B/166 is an Embedded VXI Controller. This model is VXIplug&compliant and designed as a two-slot, B-Size module. The VXIpc-650B/166 comes with multiple high-performance peripherals that are not found in general-purpose desktop computers. In addition, it has a PCI bus controlled VXI/VMEbus interface designed to offer extremely high reliability and performance. As far as other communication interfaces are concerned, the NI VXIpc-650B/166 has Ethernet and GPIB connectivity as well.

For the addition of external hard drives and CD-ROM drives, you can take advantage of the SCSI circuitry available on this device. This Controller comes with an internal CLK10 that can route CLK10 signals while the device operates as a system controller. Besides this, externally generated CLK10 signals can also be routed to and from the device through a dedicated front panel SMB connector. The National Instruments VXIpc-650B/166 supports up to 128 MB SDRAM. This VXI Controller is fully compatible with all VXI specifications.

All the input/output, communication, and signal ports of this device can be accessed through the front panel. These connectors include SVGA, GPIB, RS-232, USB, etc. This Embedded VXI Controller can directly access memory, interrupts, and VME registers while maintaining complete compatibility with different desktop PC tools and software packages. Since it is an integrated PCI bus based device, the NI VXIpc-650B/166 offers various PCI-based peripherals such as SuperVGA video, UW-SCSI, and 10/100BaseT Ethernet. This device can easily be installed and configured through NI-VXI/NI-VISA driver software.

VXIpc-650B/166 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the embedded VXI controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
