National Instruments VXIpc-740/100 Embedded VXI Computer

Featured with a 100 MHz Microprocessor and Super VGA functionality, the National Instruments VXIpc-740/100 (Part Numbers: 776870-20, 777256-20, 776710-20, 777255-20, 777254-20, 776871-20, 777330-21, 777330-31,777330-01, 777330-41) is a low-cost, C-Size Embedded VXI Computer. The PCI based design of this Embedded Computer enables it to utilize the PCI local bus for direct connectivity with the VXIbus. Moreover, the PCI local bus is also used for interference between various peripheral devices including PC Cards, Super VGA video, and IDE hard drives.

The NI VXIpc-740/100 comes featured with numerous high-performance peripherals including Ethernet, GPIB, PCMCIA, etc. This Embedded Computer is designed to support up to 64 megabytes of RAM and can offer DMA block mode transfer rates up to 11 megabytes per second. Though the NI VXIpc-740/100 is designed as a single-width VXI module, it offers the full functionality of a routine desktop personal computer. The state-of-the-art design of this module makes it an ideal choice for some of the most demanding research and control applications.

The NI VXIpc-740/100 comes with built-in LAN connectivity. Thus, you can integrate your VXI system into a LAN or WAN without using any additional hardware. This model comes incorporated with 1 100 MHz 80486 DX4 microprocessor and can provide up to 128 kilobytes of Level 2 write-back cache. The NI VXIpc-740/100 is designed to handle DMA transfers to and from VXI. For block-mode transfers, two on-chip DMA controllers are provided on the MITE. This Embedded Computer can also be considered for slot-0 operations as it comes with a CLK10 source and a MODID register.

VXIpc-740/100 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the VXI computer will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
