National Instruments VXIpc-771 Embedded Computer

Featured with a Robust Pentium III Processor and 256 MB RAM, the National Instruments VXIpc-771 (Part Numbers: 779525-00, 779525-01, 779525-02) is a controller designed for VXIbus systems. This controller is designed on the Intel 815E chipset and has all the characteristics of a desktop computer. The processer incorporated in this device is a 1.26 GHz Pentium III Processor. The NI VXIpc-771 is an embedded controller that can be used in any slot of a VXI mainframe. However, it is generally deployed in slot 0 to be utilized as a resource manager or master controller. Since it is a C-size 1-slot module, the VXIpc-771 controller can easily be inserted in any C-size VXI mainframe.

This VXIbus controller comes with integrated Ethernet technology. Thus, you can quickly combine your VXI system with an external LAN or WAN network. The Ethernet provision can bring several remote controlling opportunities as well. This model incorporates a powerful processor in the FC-PGA2 package. The AGTL+ system bus is utilized by the processor to interface to the chipset. For RAM (random access memory), the VXIpc-771 controller has two SO-DIMM sockets. In its standard configuration, the unit is supplied with one 256 SDRAM chip installed in one socket. If required, you can install another chip of RAM in the second socket.

This controller comes equipped with a DVMT enabled Intel 82815 graphics controller. Using DVMT technology, the graphics controller achieves maximum memory and graphics performance by sharing the PC133 system memory dynamically. Thus, the graphics controller can handle a broad range of colors and video resolutions.

VXIpc-771 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the embedded computer will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
