National Instruments WSN-3202 Analog Input Node

Featured with 4 analog input channels and 4 digital I/O channels, the NI WSN-3202 (Part Numbers: 780997-02, 780997-12, 780997-01, 780997-11) is a Wireless Analog Input Node. This Analog Input Node is designed to work with other gateways and nodes for the construction of a wireless sensor network. A typical National Instruments WSN system contains various WSN gateways and multiple Programmable Automation Controllers or PCs to receive, record, and analyzer the sensor data. You can attach as many as 36 WSN-3202 nodes per gateway. The analog channels provided on this device are 16-bit, single-ended channels with selectable input ranges. 

The digital I/O channels of the NI WSN-3202 support bi-directional operation and you can configure each channel separately to operate in a different mode. This Analog Input Node is widely used in industrial applications for reliable transmission of data over wireless IEEE 802.15 links. This measurement node can transmit data over a distance of 300 meters when used with the WSN-9701 Ethernet gateway.

The WSN-3202 can be operated with four 1.5 V AA battery cells or with a 9 V to 30 V external power supply. Thus, you can deploy this device in industrial environments without worrying about the availability of a power outlet. A set of new battery cells can power the device for up to three years when configured to acquire samples at an interval of 60 seconds. The NI WSN-3202 can also be used for power an external sensor. The sensor power terminal provided on this device is designed to fulfill the power requirements of external sensors. 

WSN-3202 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Analog Input Node will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
