National Instruments PXIe-6363 PXI Multifunction I/O Module

The PXIe-6363 (Part Number: 781056-01) is a Multifunction I/O Module from the X Series by National Instruments. Equipped with 16 bits of ADC resolution, the device utilizes application software and a multicore-optimized driver to offer high performance functionality. The onboard NI-STC3 technology of the PXIe-6363 offers versatile timing and synchronization capabilities for applications involving independent digital and analog timing engines. Designed for easy connectivity, this I/O module features 4 analog output channels, 48 digital I/O channels, and 32 analog input channels that can be configured as either 16 differential or 32 single-ended channels. The NI PXIe-6363 is an excellent choice for a wide range of test and measurement applications- from simple data recording to complex scenarios. 

To get the most out of the NI PXIe-6363’s performance, it is recommended that the input high voltage remains within a range of 2.2 V to 5.25 V during operation. For the input low voltage, a range from 0 V to 0.8 V is recommended. The I/O connectors of the PXIe-6363 include a 68 position, right angle, dual stack PCB-Mount VHDCI connector for modules. For connecting with cables, the device features a 68 position Offset IDC Cable Connector. 

The power required by the NI PXIe-6363 depends on the voltage used. A voltage of +3.3 V draws in 1.6 W of power, while +12 V draws in 19.8 W. In order to safeguard the device from damage caused by overvoltage or overcurrent, the PXIe-6363 is equipped with current limitations. For each of the +5 V terminals of the device, Connector 0 and Connector 1, there is a maximum current limit of 1 A. When the terminals are combined, or for the PFI/P0/P1/P2 terminals, the maximum current limit is 2 A. 

In terms of the operating environment of the PXIe-6363, it should be operated within temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C. When nonoperational, it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 71 °C. The physical dimensions of the PXIe-6363’s printed circuit board are the same as a standard 3U PXI, and the device weighs 215 g (7.6 oz).
