Spirent SmartBits GX-1405B 1000SX Gigabit Ethernet Module

The SmartBits GX-1405B is a Gigabit Ethernet Monitoring Module. The SmartBits GX-1405B 1000SX Ethernet Module is designed and manufactured by Spirent Communications. The SmartBits GX-1405B Gigabit Module features a full-duplex communication mode at 1 Gbps speed and is used for production, analysis, and examining the Ethernet data transfers. Developed carefully to perform per IEEE standard specification 802.3z, the SmartBits GX-1405B module is used in the industries to test GbE devices for their performance and mutual operation in integrated network systems. 

The SmartBits GX-1405B 1000SX Ethernet Module contains 1 port in its hardware. Featuring full-duplex operation, the SmartBits GX-1405B module uses a multimode fiber of 850 nm laser wavelength for interface with external devices or components. The GX-1405B module can be combined with many external Ethernet SmartCards for extended applications. For instance, the SmartBits GX-1405B module can be integrated with 10 SmartBits SX-7410B 100 Mbps Ethernet SmartCards to assess the throughput and traffic of upstream data transfer. The data transmission and data receiving of the Spirent SmartBits SmartCards at a speed higher than the specified line speed can be achieved when combined with the SmartBits GX-1405B Ethernet Module.

The SmartBits GX-1405B 1000SX Ethernet Module can generate accurate as well as erroneous traffic to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of data transfers. Moreover, the SmartBits GX-1405B module can also produce normal as well as overfull loads for testing purposes. The SmartBits GX-1405B module is set up in the SmartBits SMB-200 or SMB-2000 Chassis with a SmartCard for testing applications. The SmartBits GX-1405B module comes in a compact body and weighs only 3 lbs. The dimensions of the SmartBits GX-1405B Ethernet Module are 10” x 9” x 6”.
