Spirent SmartBits LAN-3100A Ethernet Module

The SmartBits LAN-3100A is an intelligent Ethernet Module. The SmartBits LAN-3100A Ethernet Module is introduced by Spirent Communications. Compatible with the SmartBits SMB-600 and SMB-6000B Chassis, the Spirent SmartBits LAN-3100A module is a smart choice for data transmission, analysis, and capturing. The SmartBits LAN-3100A module is operated and configured through OS Windows. Moreover, the SmartWindow and Smart Applications software tools enable the users to modify, extend, and customize the features of the SmartBits LAN-3100A module. An RJ-45 physical interface is provided in the SmartBits LAN-3100A module to attach the module with external devices.

The SmartBits LAN-3100A Ethernet Module transmits the data in continuous, single or multi-burst, or echo mode, as required by the user’s application. In single burst mode, up to 16,777,215 data packets can be transmitted through the SmartBits LAN-3100A module. Furthermore, the data packet up to the size of 16 MB can be captured with the SmartBits LAN-3100A device. The generation of error-free as well as erroneous data traffic with a speed exceeding standard wire-rate is possible with the help of the SmartBits LAN-3100A module. 

The SmartBits LAN-3100A module comes with a 8-port configuration. The SmartBits LAN-3100A module takes only one slot when installed in the SmartBits SMB-600 or SMB-6000B Chassis. Featuring both half and full-duplex mode, the SmartBits LAN-3100A module supports up to 100 Mbps of line speed. The packet length supported by the SmartBits LAN-3100A module lies in the range of 32 to 8,191 bytes. The IPG resolution adjustment of 40 ns is possible in the application of the SmartBits LAN-3100A module. The SmartBits LAN-3100A module features collision control mode only in half-duplex mode; it’s not available when the module is operated under full-duplex mode.
