Spirent SmartBits LAN-3300A Ethernet SmartMetrics Module

The SmartBits LAN-3300A is a rugged Ethernet SmartMetrics Module. Spirent Communications designs the SmartBits LAN-3300A Ethernet SmartMetrics Module. The SmartBits LAN-3300A Ethernet Module is compatible with the Windows operating system (OS) and works in combination with either the SMB-600 or SMB-6000B Chassis by Spirent Communications. In the SMB-600, 2 SmartBits LAN-3300A modules can be housed, while the SMB-6000B Chassis can accommodate up to 12 SmartBits LAN-3300A modules. The physical interface of the LAN-3300A module contains one RJ-45 connector and supports CAT5 cables.

The LAN-3300A Ethernet Module is exclusively designed to assess the performance parameters of various network devices and components, including, but not limited to, network switches and routers. The LAN-3300A SmartMetrics Module has 2 ports, which are completely independent in their operation. The signal rates of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps are featured by the SmartBits LAN-3300A Ethernet Module. The line speed of 10/100 Mbps is obtained in half-duplex operation of the SmartBits LAN-3300A Ethernet Module. The full-duplex mode operation is realized only at 1000 Mbps traffic rate. With the help of the SmartBits LAN-3300A module, the network devices of the specified signal rates can be evaluated, monitored, tested, and qualified in the phases of development and operation.

The Spirent SmartBits LAN-3300A SmartMetrics Module is developed to support the frame size range within 40 – 16,384 bytes in Ethernet traffic. As much as 512 peer-to-peer IP streams can be produced by the SmartBits LAN-3300A module. The data capturing with exactness is also a feature of the SmartBits LAN-3300A module. The SmartBits LAN-3300A module has 16 MB data capture memory, which makes the realistic data logging and transfer from the module to external equipment easy and rapid.
