Spirent SmartBits LAN-3327A Ethernet TeraMetrics XD Module

The SmartBits LAN-3327A is an Ethernet TeraMetrics XD Module. The SmartBits LAN-3327A TeraMetrics XD Module is manufactured by Spirent Communications. The SmartBits LAN-3327A TeraMetrics Module offers a dual-purpose Ethernet port feature. The single-port available on the hardware of the LAN-3327A TeraMetrics Module can be used as an Ethernet Gigabit Fiber channel or as either of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1000 Mbps Ethernet port. The LAN-3327A module comes with a provision of extending the dual media ports from 2 to 768 in a scaled-up TeraMetrics modular system. 

The LAN-3327A TeraMetrics Ethernet Module can operate with several SmartBits products. The SmartBits SMB-600, SMB-600B, SMB-6000B, and SMB-6000C Chassis can be used to connect the SmartBits LAN-3327A TeraMetrics Module up to a maximum number of 2, 6, and 12 modules, respectively. The emulation of complex network systems by simulating hundreds of thousands of interconnected servers and clients is made possible with the SmartBits LAN-3327A TeraMetrics high-performance module. This is achieved by simulating plentiful protocols on the dual media port of the SmartBits LAN-3327A module at the same time without any compromise on the effectiveness.

The LAN-3327A dual-media module can be confidently used for Layer 2 and Layer 3 testing. The stream-based transmission at full rated capacity with a frame size of 40 – 16384 bytes in both cases is possible with the LAN-3327A module. The SmartBits LAN-3327A dual-media TeraMetrics Module can also perform testing on Layer 4 to Layer 7 DUTs by using software application Spirent’s Avalanche SmartBits. One more feature added to the SmartBits LAN-3327A module is the ability to do testing of firewalls, SSL Accelerator, and IP VPN. Thorough, precise, and effective testing of these protocols along with the performance validation is done using the SmartBits LAN-3327A dual-media XD module.
