The SmartBits XLW-3720A is an Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module. The SmartBits XLW-3720A SmartMetrics Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module is produced by Spirent Communications. Designed with compatibility with SmartBits SMB-600B and SMB-6000C Chassis, the Spirent SmartBits XLW-3720A module is an economical device to interlink layer 2 and layer 3 network switches and switch routers. Moreover, the SmartBits XLW-3720A XENPAK MSA Module is used to link data centers and interconnection of large-scale networks.

The Spirent SmartBits XLW-3720A is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module with 2 slots to perform cost-effective development and testing of 10 GbE hardware and firmware. The SmartBits XLW-3720A module features Layer-2 WAN and LAN protocols for automated performance testing. The signal rate supported by the SmartBits XLW-3720A module is 10.3125 Gbps under LAN configuration and 9.58464 Gbps in WAN configuration. In the transceiver, the SmartBits XLW-3720A SmartMetrics Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module can receive up to a maximum of 64000 streams with a frame size of 42 to 16,384 bytes. Moreover, the SmartBits XLW-3720A SmartMetrics Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module can transmit up to 512 independent streams during transmission mode. 

The Spirent SmartBits XLW-3720A module features single-mode and multi-mode optical fiber cabling having compatibility with the laser wavelength of 850 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm. When integrated with other SmartBits modules, the Spirent SmartBits XLW-3720A Ethernet module can carry out test operations on 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, Fiber Channel, ATM, and Frame Relay devices. The Spirent SmartBits XLW-3720A SmartMetrics Ethernet XENPAK MSA Module is compatible with Windows OS.
