National Instruments 779659-03 is the part number for the variation of the PCI-5922 PCI Oscilloscope that has 256 MB of onboard memory per channel. Boasting impressive adaptable resolution, the 779659-03 is able to adjust the ADC resolution in order to meet the specific requirements of individual applications. This versatility makes the oscilloscope an excellent option for test and measurement setups from simple to complex. The large amount of memory featured by the 779659-03 results in waveform storage with a maximum of 64 MS per channel, as well as a maximum of 100,000 records. 

The interactive soft front panel of the 779659-03 offers user an easily used graphical interface that controls a variety of different applications. When combined with both the NI-SCOPE driver and InstrumentStudio software, the user is able to quickly manage, view, and record the measurements from the oscilloscope right from this front panel. 

When it comes to calibration and maintenance, the 779659-03 is able to be calibrated either externally or through self-calibration. External calibration is useful for adjusting both the voltage reference the VCXO sample clock, while the software defined self-calibration is a great way to fix any issues with the input bias current, ADC nonlinearities, offset, and gain. NI recommends that the device be externally calibrated every 2 years. 

Designed for indoor use only, the 779659-03 can be used in altitudes up to 2,000m. It operates most effectively when used in environments where the temperatures stay within the range of 0 °C to 45 °C. When in storage, however, it can be kept in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 71 °C. Physically, the oscilloscope weighs 415 g (14.6 oz) and measures 35.5 cm × 2.0 cm × 11.3 cm (14.0 in × 0.8 in × 4.4 in).
