Tektronix TDS2012B Oscilloscope

The Tektronix TDS2012B Oscilloscope precisely represents the signals, but is restricted by the bandwidth of the probe, the bandwidth of the oscilloscope, and the inspecting recurrence. To prevent aliasing, the oscilloscope must sample the signal more than twice as fast as the most noteworthy recurrence segment of the signal. The most astounding recurrence that the oscilloscope sample rate can hypothetically represent is the Nyquist recurrence. The sample rate is known as the Nyquist rate and is double the Nyquist recurrence.

On the TDS2012B, aliasing happens when the oscilloscope does not test the signal fast enough to develop a precise waveform record. When this happens, the oscilloscope shows a waveform with a recurrence lower than the real input waveform, or triggers and displays an unstable waveform. This model offers advanced triggers, including pulse width trigger and line-selectable video trigger, FFT standard on all models, and 11 automatic measurements.

This model includes a method called Graticule that enables the user to make a speedy, visual estimate. For instance, the user may look at a waveform amplitude and verify that it is more than 100 mV. The user can take basic estimations by counting the major and minor graticule divisions included and multiplying by the scale factor. The cursors method enables the user to take estimations by moving the cursors, which always shows up in pairs, and reading their numeric values from the display readouts. There are two sorts of cursors: Voltage and Time.
