Tektronix TDS5052B Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope

The TDS5052B is a 2-Channel, 500 MHz, 5 GS/s, Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope designed by Tektronix. It is offered with one P5050 500 MHz, 10x passive probe per channel. This model’s math-on-math capabilities make it an excellent solution for making complicated power-related measurements such as age, voltage, and instantaneous power. It also supports a wide variety of video standards including SECAM, PAL, and NTSC with dedicated triggering.

The Tektronix TDS5052B is designed with a sturdy front panel. Dedicated Vertical Controls are provided for each channel’s vertical scaling, positioning, and for making changes in the input termination. This model comes with a unique side panel where all ports and expansion slots can be located. In addition to the primary ports, this model has an IEEE 488.2 standard GPIB, a COM 1, A-scope VGA Output, and a Parallel port as well. For data storage and transferring, the Tektronix TDS5052B has a Standard Floppy Drive and an integrated CD-RW drive available. The user can also connect this instrument to a network for file sharing, printing, internet access, and other functions.

This oscilloscope is a smart machine that can handle basic and advanced math functions like, Sin, Log 10, Log e, Tanh, Differentiae, and Integrate, etc. Apart from these features, it also offers spectral magnitude and phase frequency domain function, and Window Functions including Flattop2, Rectangular, Hamming, Kaiser-Bessel, etc. The Tektronix TDS5052B can be operated on 100 to 240 100 to 240 Vrms at 47 to 63 Hz or on 15 Vrms at 360 to 440 Hz.
