TDK Lambda EMS 250-20-2-D-0209E Power Supply

The TDK Lambda EMS 250-20-2-D-0209E Power Supply comes with a high recurrence power transformer, T1, which offers the essential isolation and the expansion or reduction that is needed for the output DC voltage. Rectifiers of quick recuperation (or Schottky diodes for low voltage instruments) change over the auxiliary output under a unipolar pulse width waveform. Filtering may be accomplished with an LC combination.

On the EMS 250-20-2-D-0209E, every control circuitry may be found on the A100 control board. The board receives its power from the bias transformer T2. The auxiliary of T2 will be full-wave rectified and filtered. The voltage controllers offer the acceptable bias voltages ±15 v (±12 v for the 600W/1KW). The bias voltages are utilized to power every integrated circuit on the board. The control circuitry incorporates the supervisory function, over-current protection, reference generation, feedback, and transistor drive circuit.

Most supervisory functions are executed by U4 and an associated circuitry. These capacities include: turn-on delay, under-voltage lockout, overvoltage protection, mode detect, and remote turn-on. On each issue condition, Q5 may be pulled low, enacting the digital shutdown ports on the PWM. U4 offers a 3 to 4 second delay, comparing the 5 Volt reference with voltage on C26. When power is applied, C26 charges through R34 with the necessary time constant to provide the wanted delay. Throughout the delay (charging period about C26 on 5 volts), pin 1 of U4 may be negative, turning off Q9, and thus disabling the relay K1.
