Aeroflex 2945B Communications Service Monitor

The Aeroflex 2945B is a Communications Service Monitor, designed for carrying out routine, protection, and maintenance testing on radio networking equipment, such as radio transmitters and receivers. This model features a SYSTEM mode to provide measurement and test facilities for VOR, ILS, and SELCAL receivers. The Aeroflex 2945B comes with several modules and can provide services equivalent to several other instruments, including but not limited to, RF Generators, RF Counters, AF Counters, Distortion Meter, RF Power Meter, etc.

This model offers accurate power measurements up to 150 W. It comes with 5 W protection as standard on all RF ports. The Aeroflex 2945B features an integrated display device, which is an ultra-fast LCD with a brilliant refresh rate. This makes it an ideal solution for monitoring and real-time adjustments. The user can employ this test system for harmonic and transient analysis. The 2945B features a live look and listen enabled full span spectrum analyzer as well. It weighs under 12 kg and is specially designed for easy carrying. With the help of NiMH technology, the user can keep this unit operating for a maximum of 60 minutes in the field on battery backup.

The Aeroflex 2945B can also be controlled and configured remotely, since it is equipped with an RS-232 interface. However, to achieve more complicated configurations, an IEEE-488.2 interface (Option 5) can also be purchased and fitted. The integrated RF signal generator and RF spectrum analyzer on this instrument are designed to operate within a frequency range of 400 kHz to 1.05 GHz.
