Anritsu 68159B Synthesized Sweep Generator

The 68159B Synthesized Sweep Generator belongs to the 681XXB series of Anritsu’s Synthesized Sweep Generators. It has a base frequency of 10MHz and a maximum frequency of 26.5GHz. The Anritsu 68159B is a signal generator. A signal generator is an electrically powered device that generates electronic signals, continuously, with the help of an electronic oscillator and a circuit, that has the capacity to create a recurring waveform.

The SSB phase noise of the Anritsu 68159B is 100 dBc at 10KHz offset from 10GHz. Other features include Waveguide extensions of up to 110GHZ, Internal AM, FM, Phase, and Pulse modulation, user downloaded complex modulation, and analog, step, master/slave sweep, power, and alternate modes.

The Anritsu 68159B Signal Generator has a Self-Test option. The self-test runs a diagnosis on the device to check if there are errors and displays the probable causes on the LCD. It has a Reset option that returns instrument parameters to default values and aborts any pending GPIB I/O. 360B SS Mode and Secure Mode are also available on the Antritsu 68159B. The security mode allows a user to disable modulation state displays, power level, and all frequency so that setups stored while the device is in secure mode can be safely retrieved.

The Anritsu 68159B Synthesized Sweep Generator has a minimum power output of -15 dBm and a maximum power output of +13 dBm. If higher power is installed, its output can reach up to +17 dBm. Harmonics (noise) is -40 dBm and Non-harmonics (noise) is also -40 dBm.
