The Anritsu 69147A Synthesized CW Generator has an interface function that is the component of the GPIB framework, which gives the essential operational facility that allows a gadget to receive processes and send messages. Every interface capacity can send or get a limited arrangement of messages inside a given message class. As a result, an interface set’s capacity is important to accomplish complete communication between gadgets in the GPIB. The ANSI/IEEE Std 488.1 characterizes every one of the interface’s capacities together with the user’s specific protocol. The ANSI/IEEE Std 488.2 determines the minimum set of functions of the IEEE 488.1 interface that each GPIB gadget must have. This minimum interface set’s capacities guarantees that the gadget can send and get information, request service, and react to a gadget clear message.

The 69147A CPU programs the coarse-loop oscillator's output recurrence, so one of its sounds will be within 30 to 40 MHz of the desired YIG-tuned oscillator's output recurrence. The YIG Loop phase detector compares the YIG IF signal to the 30 to 40 MHz reference signal from the Fine Loop. If there is a distinction, the YIG phase detector calibrates the YIG-tuned oscillator (by means of the FM hardware and the FM coil drivers) to wipe out any recurrence contrast between the two signals.

The RF output signal from the YIG-tuned oscillator goes to connector J6 on the exchanged filter assembly. In the exchanged filter assembly, the RF signal is amplified and then goes to the modulator. A bit of the RF signal to the modulator is picked off and coupled through connector J5 to the Sampler for use by the YIG loop circuitry. The modulator gives power level control and, in the 69147A, AM and square wave modulation.
