Anritsu 69187B Synthesized Signal Generator

The Anritsu 69187B has a CPU that projects the thick cycle oscillator output recurrence, so one of its harmonics will be inside 30 to 40 MHz of the desired range. The output recurrence of the oscillator is tuned in YIG. The YIG Loop phase detector compares the YIG IF signal to the reference signal from 30 to 40 MHz of Fine Tie. If there is a distinction, the YIG phase detector tuning the YIG tuned oscillator (through FM circuits and the FM loop controllers) eliminates any recurrence contrast between the two signals.

Phase locking the instrument's output recurrence over an expansive recurrence range is accomplished by programming the coarse-loop oscillator's output to different frequencies that have harmonics near the desired working frequencies. Correct recurrence tuning for each desired working recurrence is accomplished by programming the fine-loop oscillator. For each situation, the YIG-tuned oscillator is first tuned by means of the principle tuning loop to the estimated wanted working recurrence.
