Tektronix AFG3102 Arbitrary Function Generator

The Tektronix AFG3102 is a 2-Channel, 14 bits Vertical Resolution Arbitrary Function Generator from the AFG3000 Series. In addition to the 12 standard waveforms, this instrument offers user-customized arbitrary waveforms. Thus, the user can create, edit, store, recall, and play their custom waveforms. The Tektronix AFG3102 is a powerful Arbitrary Function Generator because it comes with strong modulation capabilities like AM, FM, and PM modulation.

For an efficient synchronization of more than one AFG3000 Series Arbitrary Function Generator or to synchronize another Tektronix instrument with an Arbitrary Function Generator, an external reference input connector "EXT REF INPUT" is provided on the rear side of the AFG3102. In this model, another input connector "ADD INPUT" is also provided. This connector allows the addition of an external signal to the instrument`s CH1 output signal. This instrument`s internal memory allows the user to save as many as four arbitrary waveforms. However, this number can be multiplied several times by using a USB memory stick. These stored waveforms can be accessed, loaded, and edited through the front panel of the Arbitrary Function Generator whenever required.

 The Tektronix AFG3102 can output a burst using regular or standard waveforms such as the ramp, pulse, sine, or arbitrary waveforms. With this instrument, the user can utilize two types of burst modes: Triggered Burst Mode or Gated Burst Mode. In addition, the AFG3102 comes featured with FSK modulation or frequency shift keying modulation. It is a modulation technique in which the output signal frequency is shifted between the Carrier and the Hop frequency.
