Tektronix AWG5004B Arbitrary Waveform Generator

The Tektronix AWG5004B is a 14 bit, 4-Channel, 10 to 600 MS/s Arbitrary Waveform Generator designed to provide up to 8 outputs (2 per channel) at 50 Ω Output Impedance. This model features a Windows XP based Instinctive User Interface. The integrated PC presents a built-in Hard Drive, USB Ports, LA N, and DVD. The Tektronix AWG5004B is known for its convenient Benchtop Form Factor.

The AWG5004B addresses narrowband IQ and broadband IF applications with sufficient SFDR and 14-bit resolution. This model can generate both analog IQ/IF and digital data IQ/IF signals. The W-LAN/Wi-Max supporting Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system with multiple antennas incorporated in this model is a leading-edge technology, ideal for faster and reliable data rate communication.

This model can operate with an adequate frequency switching time of 400 ns. It has a front BNC connector to receive "trigger in" at ±10 V (1 kΩ) or ±5 V (50 Ω) input voltage. In gate mode, the AWG5004B can handle 1024 * sampling period + 10 ns Minimum Pulse Width. It is compatible with IVI-com drivers and MATLAB library for Third-party S/W.

For communications with other devices, the Tektronix AWG5004B comes with an SCPI-1999.0 compatible GPIB port. This model also features an IEEE 802.3 compliant RJ-45, Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T) port that can be used for data transfer and remote controlling of the instrument. The Tektronix AWG5004B has several upgrade options available that can be purchased separately and added seamlessly into the base instrument, such as Opt. M12 to achieve waveform length expansion.
