Tektronix AWG5014C Arbitrary Waveform Generator
The Tektronix AWG5014C is a Windows 7 based Arbitrary Waveform Generator featured with 10 MS/s to 1.2 GS/s Sample Rate, 300 Mb/s Bit Rate (typical), 14-bit Vertical Resolution, and 4 Output Channels. This model comes with a sturdy configuration and supports numerous modulation schemes, including: Step FM, Custom Modulation, Nonlinear FM, LFM, User-defined FM, and others.
This model comes with an ASCII based Equation Editor that uses text strings for the creation of waveforms simply by loading, editing, and compiling equation files. The editor provides the flexibility and control required to create more complicated waveforms, using custom-defined parameters. With real-time sequencing, the AWG5014C can create infinite waveform loops and conditional branches. Thus, this waveform generator prepares the user for the longer pattern-length generation.
The Tektronix AWG5014C can also be used for the creation of pulsed radar waveforms with the help of Radar Signal Creation, which is a software module for RFXpress. It also tends to generate pulse trains with staggered PRI for the resolution of Doppler ambiguity and range. The RFXpress is a powerful tool that can be run as an integral part of the AWG5014C or from a separate personal computer.
This Arbitrary Waveform Generator offers mathematically corrected output flatness for characteristic Sin (x)/x roll-off. The integrated computer on this model is a powerful machine with an RJ-45 Ethernet connector, eSATA, DVI/I Video, and USB 2.0 compliant ports. The Tektronix AWG5014C features a 10.4 in LED-backlit monitor with a touchscreen as the display device. It can also be used for the playback of waveforms acquired in various formats from other instruments.
