National Instruments CB-68T Isothermal Terminal Block

The CB-68T is an Isothermal Terminal Block created by National Instruments. The CB-68T corresponds to the part number 777926-01. The NI CB-68T connects to the NI PCI-4351, NI PXI-4351, and NI USB-4350 I/O connector. The NI CB-68T is composed as a terminal block for the CA-1000 enclosure. This Isothermal Terminal Block is a shielded board with screw terminals and digital signal conditioning accessory connections.

The CB-68T is configured with isothermal features to minimize the gradients of temperature over the screw terminals. The CB-68T is featured for RTDs, thermocouples, thermistors, as well as voltage signals. The CB-68T can be used to improve the accuracy of a thermistor temperature sensor with the cold-junction quality for thermocouple measuring. The CB-68T can be used with a metal enclosure that can retain air currents outside of it to preserve the isothermal conditions.

The CB-68T is built with cable connectors for specific relays and digital signal functioning modules. This Isothermal Terminal Block should be used with the NB7 or NB8 cable as required for digital signal conditioning applications. If it’s not being used for digital signal conditioning, the cable assemblies required are the SH6868 shielded cable or R6868 ribbon cable. The SH6868 shielded cable is the recommended choice.

The NI CB-68T Isothermal Terminal Block delivers connections for every digital input/output line on the NI-435X products. The CB-68T delivers connections to all the analog input channels, except CH0 and CH1. CHO is preserved for the cold-junction sensor, while CH1 is saved for auto-zeroing circuitry.
