NI TB-2642B Terminal Block

The TB-2642B Terminal Block is a switching accessory from National Instruments. This Terminal Block can be used if you want to configure your National Instruments PXIe-2532B or PXI-2532B Switch Module in a single-wire, 16 x 32 matrix topology. Like other Terminal Block from the TB-264XB Terminal Block series, the NI TB-2642B can be operated with optional protection resistance. A Terminal Block with integrated protection resistance can prolong the life of the Switch Module’s reed relays and can prevent the relays from the degrading effects of capacitive loads.

Use part number 782385-06 to order a unit with built-in protection resistance. The base version of this Terminal Block (without protection resistance) can be acquired through part number 782385-07. A row protection bypass header is also provided on this Terminal Block for bypassing the row protection resistors. The NI TB-2642B allows a flow of up to 0.4 amperes of current (maximum per channel). The DC path resistance remains < 2.1 ohms.
