National Instruments TBX-1328 Isothermal Terminal Block

The NI TBX-1328 (Part Number: 777207-28) is a High-Accuracy, Isothermal Terminal Block. This high-efficiency model can easily be mounted on a DIN rail and can be connected to the SCXI-1121, SCXI-1126, and SCXI-1125, or SCXI-1120/D front connector.

This shielded Terminal Block comes featured with a high-precision and high-quality thermistor for cold-junction compensation. Moreover, the isothermal copper plates incorporated in this Terminal Block limits the temperature gradient and its effects across the screw terminals. Thus, the user can expect more accurate thermocouple readings. A wide operating temperature range of this Terminal Block enables it to be used in unforgiving industrial environments.

For easy connection, the NI TBX-1328 offer 24 screw terminals. Out of these 24 terminals, eight connect to SCXI chassis ground, employing the SH32-32-A cable’s shield. When used in conjunction with the SCXI-1126, SCXI-1125, or SCXI-1120/D, the sixteen unused screw terminals are used for connecting signals to eight channels of the corresponding SCXI module in eight pairs. For the SCXI-1121, four pairs connect to the excitation channels of the SCXI module and four screw terminal pairs are used to connect signals to the four input channels of the module.

The National Instruments TBX-1328 Terminal Block comes equipped with eight resistor sockets as well. These resistor sockets are provided to be used with the 4 mA to 20 mA current input. For each input channel, three terminals (chassis ground, CH-, and CH+) are included. The isothermal capabilities of this Terminal Block make it an ideal solution for applications where thermocouples are used.
