National Instruments TBX-1329 AC/DC Coupling Terminal Block

The NI TBX-1329 (Part Number: 777207-29) is a DIN-rail friendly, AC/DC coupling Terminal Block. This model is designed to be used with the SCXI-1120, SCXI-1121, SCXI-1120D, SCXI-1126, or SCXI-1125 front connector. The NI TBX-1329 offers a straightaway connection regime as it comes with 16 screw terminals. The cable shield of the SH32-32-A is used for the interconnection of two specially provided screws to the functional earth terminal of the SCXI module.

Every channel of the TBX-1329 comes equipped with two switches. These switches enable the user to shift from AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current) and vice versa. Thus, users can have each channel configured separately without interfering with the other channels. In its default configuration, the TBX-1329 is supplied with switches set on the DC position. In this configuration, the Terminal Block permits all AC and DC signals to the connected SCXI module.

While operating in the AC position, the related switches switch in a capacitor and a referencing resistor. This arrangement inhibits all the DC components. Thus, the user can anticipate receiving a pure AC signal at the SCXI module. To make switch identification easier, each switch comes with a unique identification mark. The National Instruments TBX-1329 Terminal Block can also be used in current measurements. For current measurements, a receiver resistor can be placed in the sockets available on the TBX-1329. However, the user can utilize current resistor kits made by National Instruments only. The user can rackmount or wall mount this model as per requirements.
