National Instruments TBX-24F Feedthrough Terminal Block

The NI TBX-24F (Part Number: 777276-01) is a versatile Feedthrough Terminal Block with 24 signal lines. This model can be used in a variety of settings and with almost any SCXI module. It connects directly to the SCXI-1161, which comes with an integrated terminal block. The NI TBX-24F connects to any other module by means of an SCXI terminal block. Moreover, the user can link it through direct connections, such as thermocouples or BNC connectors as well.

This Terminal Block comes with a unique feature that is the availability of eight removable terminal plugs. Thus, the user can have the field wires disconnected from the system instantly without consuming time in disconnecting them from the screw terminals. This makes it possible to swap field wires from one measuring device or terminal block to another. For additional safety, the terminal plugs have a keyed design, so the user can have them inserted in one direction only.

The NI TBX-24F offers 300 V working voltage (maximum), 12 A current (maximum - under 30 V), 10 A current (maximum-above 30 V) and can handle 30 to 12 AWG wire gauge. This model belongs to insulation material group I and the insulation material used in its construction is PA. The flammability ratings for the base and plugs of the TBX-24F are V-2 and V-0 respectively. This Terminal Block can be considered for a variety of applications, since its rated operating temperature range is 0 to 100 °C. To connect the TBX-24F to a front-mounting SCXI terminal block, the user can utilize discrete wires.
