National Instruments TBX-68S Terminal Block

The TBX-68S is a 68-pin screw, Isothermal Terminal Block by National Instruments designed for use with the NI-2501 and NI-2503 PXI switch cards. The NI TBX-68S can also be identified by the part number 777716-01. This Terminal Block is designed to be DIN-Rail mounted and is also equipped with a cold-junction sensor. Screw terminal connections are available for every channel, except the cold-junction sensor. The TBX 68S is compatible with the shielded SH68-68S cable, which is available in 1 m, 2 m, or 5 m lengths. Another compatible cable option is the R6868 ribbon cable.

The National Instruments TBX-68S Terminal Block comprises a shielded board with screw terminals that link straight to the front panel I/O connector of the NI-2501 or NI-2503. The TBX-68S can be used in conjunction with thermocouples, thermistors, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), and voltage signals. The isothermal feature of the Terminal Block helps reduce the temperature gradients across the screw terminals. The NI TBX-68S can be mounted on the majority of European standard DIN EN mounting rails, including the DIN EN 50 022 and DIN EN 50 03. The TBX-68S can additionally be mounted on the NI TBX Rack-Mount Assembly.

The NI TBX-68S does not offer strain relief for signal wires. However, you can add insulation and strain relief for your signal wires if it is required for your application. The NI TBX-68S is capable of auto-zeroing circuitry.

TBX-68S Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the terminal block will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
