National Instruments VXI-TB-196 Terminal Block

The VXI-TB-196 is a Terminal Block. The VXI-TB-196 is manufactured by National Instruments. The VXI-TB-196 is specifically designed for use with the VXI-MIO modules. The VXI-MIO modules are multifunction I/O modules developed by National Instruments. The VXI-TB-196 can be installed in a VXIbus Chassis. Other items required to use the VXI-TB-196 include a wire insulation stripper, a 0.09 in. flathead screwdriver, a wire cutter, Phillips-head number 1 and number 2 screwdrivers, and long-nose pliers.

The NI VXI-TB-196 Terminal Block is installed with the NI VXI-MIO modules. The National Instruments VXI-TB-196 comes with a metal shielded enclosure. This metal housing protects the Terminal Block from any damage and increases the life of the VXI-TB-196. Inside the metal enclosure, the NI VXI-TB-196 has a single screw terminal board. The VXI-TB-196 incorporates 96 terminals. The terminals of the VXI-TB-196 are screw terminals. The NI VXI-TB-196 is connected with the VXI-MIO modules through these screw terminals. The VXI-MIO modules have front panel connectors for connections to the VXI-TB-196 Terminal Block.  

The Terminal Block is designed to can accommodate different types of components. Some of the components that can be connected with the National Instruments VXI-TB-196 Terminal Block are RTDs, thermistors, thermocouples, and current-loop receivers. The NI VXI-TB-196 can also be connected with volt sources, millivolt sources, and strain gauges. The compatibility of the VXI-TB-196 with so many different components makes it useful for a broad range of applications.  

VXI-TB-196 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the terminal block will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
