The Tektronix TDS7000 Series of Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes is beneficial in the following applications: investigation of transient phenomena, disk drive assessment, signal integrity, jitter, and timing analysis, confirmation, debug, and characterization of advanced designs, spectral analysis, debugging telecom, datacom, and storage area network equipment designs and high speed backplanes, and finally design development and compliance testing of serial data streams as fast as 2.5 Gbps. The maximum waveform capture rate for these oscilloscopes is >400,000 Wfms/second and the rise time is down to 100 ps.
With their bandwidths varying from 500 MHz to 4 GHz and sample rates as fast as 20 GS/s, the TDS7000 Series meets the requirements for the high-speed logic families and multi-Gigabit communication requirements. Probe performance is also essential for a measurement system. The P7260 6 GHz active probe obtains real-time signal data from high-speed designs with high-impedance, high-frequency circuit details that require little loading. On the other hand, the P7350 5 GHz differential probe delivers high CMRR, a wide frequency range, and short breaks between inputs.
