ACCESS Master

The Anritsu ACCESS Master MT9080 Series is ideal for metro area FTTx access network testing; the series has an optical power measurement function and a light source throughout each model. The visible light source has a wavelength of 650 nm and an optical output > -3 dBm. The Anritsu ACCESS Master MT9080 Series contains products with a dynamic range from 22 dB to 26.5 dB. This series was created for professionals connecting and sustaining fiber links to the premises (FTTP), home (FTTH), or curb (FTTC). The keypad is easy to use; with one-button measurements for testing, metro-area precision is guaranteed. The Anritsu MT9080 Series is lighter and smaller than previous series. A few of the most useful features are: the ability to narrow down the locations of adjacent fault points, an integrated OTDR and optical power meter function, the ability to reach 1 m event dead zone (useful for short-distance optical fiber assessment in FTTx applications, IP Network Connectivity Check Function (Option 001), and optical pulse testing. One thing to keep in mind is that while operating an MT9080 Series product with a hardware version of 2 or later, the visible light source and IP network connectivity check functions can be installed simultaneously.

The Anritsu ACCESS Master MT9081 Series is an upgraded version of the MT9080 Series, which is more basic, did not have an IP test function, and had a lower dynamic range. The ACCESS Master MT9081 Series is created for last-mile FTTx metro access network testing and short- and long-haul fiber test and maintenance applications. The Anritsu ACCESS Master MT9081 Series is ideal for experts installing and sustaining fiber links to the premises (FTTP), home (FTTH), or curb (FTTC). Typical features consist of an integrated OTDR, light source, and optical power meter function, which improves the maintenance function. The ACCESS Master MT9081 Series has an optional Ethernet/IP test capability which can measure download speed up to full wire rate for 10M/100M BASE-TX or 1000BASE-T connections. This ensures that FTTX network performance can be assessed accurately, without being distorted by a PC. The keypad is easy to navigate with one-button measurements, which deliver metro-area analysis and precision. The 38.5 dB dynamic range ensures its usability on fiber lengths as long as 94 miles (150 km), which complies with most OTDR specifications. The operating temperature ranges from 0 to +40 degrees C, while the storage temperature ranges from -20 to +60 degrees C.

The Anritsu ACCESS Master MT9083 Series eliminates the necessity of experts carrying around multiple types of test equipment, such as OTDRs, light sources, optical power meters, and visible light sources. The ACCESS Master MT9083 Series consists of three models with varying specifications. The MT9083A is the most basic model and can support up to 38 dB, the MT9083B is slightly more advanced with the capability of reaching 42 dB, and the MT9083C is the highest performing model which can extend as far as 45 dB. The MT9083 Series measures fibers over 200 km. This series is portable and durable enough to endure the outside plant environment without being damaged. This series has every measurement function that could be anticipated for optical fiber construction and maintenance. The ACCESS Master MT9083 Series has 440 MB of storage, but with a USB added it can extend to 512 MB. A few of the greatest features of the ACCESS Master MT9083 Series include: high resolution and dynamic range, a battery life of up to 8 hours, analysis software which identifies problem splices, two types of display screens easily viewable inside or outside, the ability to test multiple wavelengths, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, a graphical summary, and a unique password protection option for classified files.
